My first pieces of jewelry were beaded necklaces. I used to buy handmade silver beads from Bali or from other sources and combine them with semi precious gemstone beads. Those silver beads were beautiful yet quite expensive and not always available. A short time after I did my first steps in metalsmithing I began to experiment in bead making. As can be seen in the photo below it became an obsession of mine.
