Taking pictures of anticlastic twisted jewelry

Usually I am able to take reasonable photos of my jewelry. Yet, anticlastic twisted jewelry proved to be especially hard to capture. I have tried several different backgrounds but did not see any improvement. I wonder what I should do to get over this obstacle. The following two photos show my experiments with blue background.

      for the jewelry it is much better but it is different from my regular white/grey background
