Finally I have tried to fabricate jewelry from sterling silver
using synclastic techniques: a pendant and matching earrings.
Usually my jewelry is textured & matte but I gave these new
items quite a high polished finish. Do I like the glossy/shiny look? I do not
have a clear answer to this question. What I know for sure is that the glossy
surface of the jewelry made it very hard to take good photos. This morning I
was so frustrated that I was ready to go back to the studio and give the
jewelry a satin finish!
