This
5,000 years old female statue in sandstone is on display at the Pech Merle
prehistory center. The figure seems rather short and fat, just the opposite of
the image of the ideal modern woman.
Pech Merle is a cave which opens onto a hillside at Cabrerets
in the Lot département of the Midi-Pyrénées region in France. The Prehistoric cave paintings were beautiful and touching.
