The
advantage of being a metalsmith is that you can make your own birthday present
and its exactly what you wanted!
About
the bead: I fabricated it from 14k yellow gold using hammers and stakes. The
fabrication process is called: synclastic forming. It measures about 3.5 centimeters
long and its middle width is 1.5.
In
the past, I've used this process to fabricate quite a few copper and silver
beads, but this is the first one I made from gold.
