About

My philosophy
My jewelry is inspired by the natural world. But, rather than trying to imitate it I aim at noticing its essence: color, outline, shape or texture and interpret it into my craft. I call my studio "lab" because my working process is a sequence of experiments.
My work is handmade from scratch, which means that I start with metal sheet and / or wire.  Most of the ear wires and clasps I use are also handmade by me.
When designing & fabricating jewelry I pay great attention to materials and design. It is also very important to me that all pieces I create are comfortable. I want any woman to be able put on my jewelry in the morning and then go about her day, no matter what that may include, without thinking about it (unless someone compliments her on her magnificent jewelry of course).
As my jewelry is designed to be comfortable to wear, and since I use expensive raw materials (explanations below), the items I create are modest in size and subtle. This does not mean that you cannot dress to impress. When going for a more glamorous look I highly recommend layering. For example, wear two or three pendants on chains of different length, mix beaded necklaces, or put on two, three or even four bracelets. The final effect can be very impressive - a splendid example of the concept of synergy! It also allows you to easily take your jewelry from day to night by just adding more layers.

Techniques
I love to work and shape metal, make it fold and roll, texture it and create 3D shapes. To get there, I use many tools: a variety of hammers, stakes, punches, pliers, sanding, grinding and polishing wheels, to name a few. I also do wire wrapping which allows me to assemble gemstone beads into colorful jewelry.

Materials
My jewelry is made of sterling silver or 14K gold, to which I may add natural semi-precious beads or stones with emphasis on NATURAL. I especially love: pearls of assorted colors and shapes, green/blue stones (Aquamarine, Peridot, and Apatite), yellow/orange stones (Citrine and Carnelian) and all colors and shades of Tourmaline.
