Last week I visited the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot
(I teach across the street at the Faculty of Agriculture) and spotted this
statue. The caption said that it was created by the sculpture Gidon Graetz and
it is called "Internal Light". I instantly liked the fluid lines that
are drawn into the sky. It reminded me of the anticlastic / synclastic shapes I
have been working with lately, although constructed with completely different
techniques.
I looked at Gidon Graetz web site and found it fascinating,
here is the address: http://www.gidongraetz.com
