Chain Making

Over the past 10 years (maybe even more) I have been collecting instructions for chain making assuming that one day I will have free time and peace of mind to master the techniques and fabricate beautiful chains. Needless to say that  this day never came. Instead every now and then I stole a few hours and spent them teaching myself one of the chain making techniques. I need to look and see if I kept any of those trials.

Several months ago I told my chain making story to my friend Edna. She immediately suggested her help and so she did. While I was considering the idea she was already weaving! The photos show the two styles she has tried.

Now it is up to me to continue……
