The Design Museum
Holon presents the exhibition: GATHERING - From Domestic Craft to
Contemporary Process. Part of the exhibition is devoted to a new collection
by Issey Miyake. For about a decade Miyake and his team developed a unique
technology that uses recycled polyester fibers to create garments that look
as if they were made by just folding the fabric using the traditional method
of origami. The result is original and very beautiful.
The garments are showed on mannequins and
flat folded.
