Rock
Form (Porthcurno), a statue by artist Barbara Hepworth from 1964 is located on Benjamin Franklin Parkway which is a wide boulevard that
runs through the cultural heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I loved
its shape and when I walked around it,
I noticed that it looked like a giant tube
that was pierced and fold formed. To cite a
previous post of mine: "Metal smiths, including myself, use fold forming extensively,
although on a completely different scale".
