Recently I tried to find a way to produce components for
assembling cluster jewelry. I wanted the components to be interesting and beautiful on the one
hand but on the other hand to be simple to manufacture. Also I checked how
size affects the appearance of the components.
The original form of all components was a
circle (four sizes). I started with three techniques which I have used in the
past: punches & a dapping block, dimpling pliers and a chisel & pliers
(this method called Crushed Flower Technique is described in the book
"metal jewelry in bloom by Melissa Cable)
In the photo you can see all the possible
combinations between the diameter and the method of work.
