Turquoise ring

My upcoming trip to Santa Fe, a well-known center for turquoise jewelry, reminded me of the first piece of jewelry I have made using actual metalsmithing techniques. The first soldered piece of my life! It was a ring set with a Turquoise cabochon from an unknown source. That ring was the first project in a one semester metal techniques class which I took at the Craft Centre just after we moved to California. During my trip I hope to see a lot of interesting jewelry.
