Chinese Jade at the National Palace museum, Taiwan

During my visit to Taiwan the National Palace Museum located in Taipei, presented a magnificent and interesting exhibition that showcased Chinese jades through the ages. I could not even start to describe the collection so I would make only one point. In my mind, Jade was always green. It had many shades and patterns but all of them green. From this exhibition, I have learned that Jade can come also in a variety of brown & orange shades. The jewelry is about 3,000 years old while the artifacts are about 500 years old.
